Connect your WooCommerce store
Install the SendDuo plugin on your WordPress site for abandoned cart emails, a checkout newsletter box and sign-up forms, and connect your store for orders and revenue.
Updated October 26, 2026
A WooCommerce shop connects to SendDuo in two parts. Both live on the Store page in SendDuo (Settings, then Store).
- The SendDuo plugin on your WordPress site: abandoned cart emails, a newsletter box at checkout, and your sign-up forms and popups.
- The store connection: SendDuo reads your customers, orders and products. Revenue reports need it.
SendDuo never changes your store, its products or its orders.
Install the plugin
The SendDuo plugin is free in the WordPress plugin directory.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins, then Add New.
- Search for SendDuo.
- On the SendDuo plugin, click Install Now, then Activate.
Or upload the file yourself
- In SendDuo, open Settings, then Store, and in the WordPress plugin box click Download plugin.
- In WordPress, go to Plugins, then Add New, then Upload Plugin.
- Choose the file you downloaded, click Install Now, then Activate.
Connect the plugin
- In WordPress, go to WooCommerce, then SendDuo.
- Click Connect to SendDuo. SendDuo opens. Log in if it asks.
- Check the site name and click Connect.
- You are back in WordPress, and it says Connected to SendDuo.
Once connected, the plugin sends SendDuo:
- cart activity, so subscribers who leave items behind get a reminder,
- the email typed at checkout and the newsletter box,
- that an order was placed, so reminders stop,
- sign-ups from your SendDuo forms.
On the Store page in SendDuo, the WordPress plugin box then shows your site, the plugin version and the last event received.
Plugin settings in WordPress
Under WooCommerce, then SendDuo, the plugin has three settings. Click Save settings after changing them.
- Add a newsletter box at checkout (never ticked in advance): on by default. A shopper who ticks it becomes a subscriber. An email typed without ticking it is not added to your list.
- Box label: the text next to the box. SendDuo keeps it as proof of consent. If you leave it empty, it says
Email me news and offers fromand your site's name. - Show my SendDuo forms on this site: on by default. Turn it off to hide all your SendDuo forms on this site.
Abandoned cart emails
- In SendDuo, open Automations, then Abandoned cart.
- Click Turn on.
Only people who subscribed to your emails get them (through a form, your checkout box or your own list). The email shows their cart, and its link puts the cart back. Once they order, the reminders stop.
Put forms on your site
Popups show on every page except cart and checkout once they are On. For an inline form:
- In the WordPress editor, add the SendDuo form block and pick your form.
- Or paste the form's shortcode, like
[sendduo_form id="..."]. Copy it from the form's page in SendDuo.
See Create a popup or sign-up form for the form settings.
Connect your store for orders and revenue
The store connection brings in your customers, orders and products, so you can see revenue and send order follow-ups.
- On the Store page in SendDuo, type your Store address in the Connect WooCommerce box.
- Click Connect.
- Approve the read-only access in your WordPress admin.
SendDuo then brings in your data. To fetch new data right away, click Sync now.
Which checkout box means "send me emails"?
After the first sync, the Store page asks which checkout field means a customer agreed to emails. Only customers who ticked it become subscribers. Everyone else is kept as Customer, not subscribed: they never get campaigns and never count toward your plan.
- Pick the field and tick the values that mean yes.
- Click Save.
Don't see your field? Place a test order with the box ticked, then click Scan again. If your checkout has no such box, choose None of these.
Disconnecting
To disconnect the plugin, click Disconnect plugin on the Store page, or Disconnect in WordPress under WooCommerce, then SendDuo. Your Abandoned cart automation turns off and your forms stop showing.
To stop SendDuo reading your store, use the Disconnect box on the Store page. Your contacts stay. You can also tick the box to delete the synced store data.
