Getting started with SendDuo

The setup path in order: your account, your domain, your sender details, your brand, your contacts, then your first email.

Updated October 23, 2026

This is the quickest path from a new account to your first email. Do the steps in this order. Each one only takes a few minutes, and the domain step is the only one that can involve some waiting.

Your Dashboard also shows the next thing to do (verify a domain, import contacts, create your first campaign) until it is done.

1. Create your account

  1. On the sign-up page, enter your Business or workspace name, your Email and a Password of 8 or more characters.
  2. Click Sign up.
  3. Open the verification link we email you. If it does not arrive, check your spam folder or click Resend verification email.

2. Verify your sending domain

SendDuo sends from your own domain, like hello@yourshop.com. You add a few DNS records once to prove the domain is yours. Sending is blocked until a domain is verified, so start here. See Verify your sending domain.

3. Set up your sender details

Open Settings and fill in your sender name, sender email, physical mailing address and timezone. These appear on every email you send. See Set up your sender details.

4. Add your brand

  1. Open Settings, then Brand.
  2. Add your logo, colors, fonts, button style and social links. You can also save a header and footer that are added to every new campaign.
  3. Click Save brand. The preview shows a sample email with your kit.

Every campaign uses this brand kit, so you only set it up once.

5. Add your contacts

There are a few ways to bring people in. Use any of them, or more than one:

Tip: Only add people who asked to hear from you. Purchased or rented lists cannot be imported.

6. Send your first campaign

Open Campaigns and click New campaign. Write your email, send a test to yourself, then send it or schedule it. See Create and send a campaign.

For new accounts, SendDuo reviews your first campaign before it goes out. This usually takes a few hours, and we email you when it is sent. After that, your campaigns send straight away.

Tip: Test emails are not held for review. You can send tests to yourself as often as you like while you get the email right.

7. Turn on automations

Automations send emails on their own, like a welcome series for new subscribers. You can turn them on once your first campaign is approved. See Automations.
